Noel Gene Broaddrick
Little Rock, AR, 1936 - 2022
Noel Gene "Bud" Broaddrick, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 13, 1936, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, the youngest of three children, to the late Nolus and Lois (Watkins) Broaddrick. He was raised in Dardanelle Bottoms, where he learned his lifelong passion for hunting and fishing from his father. In the late 1940's his family moved into Dardanelle, where he took pride in having never missed a day of school for 12 years, graduating from Dardanelle High School in 1954. Bud moved to Little Rock where he began his lifelong career in printing paper sales. In 1959, he married Dorothy Balloun (Dot), of Dardanelle. They made their home in Little Rock where they raised their two children.
He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dot; his parents, and his sisters: Carolyn McGohan and Louise Cooper. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Broaddrick; son, Danny (Linda), all of Little Rock; three granddaughters: Sarah McElroy (Kevin), Kailey Buck (Mark), and Kelsey Broaddrick; and two great-grandchildren: Emerson and Keller McElroy, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Services will be held by Cornwell Funeral Home on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2 p.m., at their temporary Chapel facility located at 1st Assembly of God Church, 2565 Highway 22 W., Dardanelle, Ark.
