Betty Alford

BETTY ALFORD was born on November 3, 1941 in Gary, Ind., to the late Burrell and Willie Mae Alford. She departed this life Friday May 13, 2022. Betty accepted Christ as a young girl, and rededicated her life in 1988, at Second Baptist Church in Little Rock, under the leadership of Rev. Billy Simmons. Betty was preceded in death by both parents; a brother, James; and grandson, Antonio. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Anita (Joe) Dysard, Jerri, Glenda, and Cassandra (Keith) Allen, son, Charles; and sister, Georgia Counts of Hardscramble, Ark.; seven grandchildren: Precious, Tamika, Xavier, Corvette, Whitney, Michael, and Aniya, all of Little Rock, Ark., and a host of great-grandchildren. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday May 28, 2022, 11 a.m., at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Rd. Family hour will be Friday May 27, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
