Doyle Wallace Fulmer, Jr

Doyle Wallace Fulmer, Jr., of Fayetteville, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., died Thursday, May 19, 2022. He was born in Little Rock on June 17, 1933, the son of Doyle Wallace Fulmer, Sr. MD, and Marjorie Fincher Fulmer. Doyle graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy, Lebanon, Tenn., and the University of Arkansas. During his first year at the U of A, he was drafted into the US Army serving in the Signal Corps and received the National Defense Service Metal. After completing his military service, he returned to the U of A, where he pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Upon graduation from the U of A, he began his insurance career with Prudential Insurance Company in Little Rock. He was the retired owner of Fulmer Insurance Agency. Doyle enjoyed boating, riding his 4-wheeler, traveling and documenting everything in pictures. Doyle never met a stranger and loved to tell stories. Doyle is survived by his daughter, Darby Fulmer Barton (Scott), their son, Alex of Fayetteville, Ark.; and his son, Doyle Wallace Fulmer III (Retta), their daughter, Ashley of Little Rock. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the ICU unit and Heroes' Haven Palliative care unit, VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, Ark., for their care and kindness provided to Doyle as he completed his life's journey. Honoring Doyle's wishes, there will be no service.
