John Wayne Dollar, 69, of Rogers, passed away May 18, 2022, surrounded by his family at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born November 12, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Leonard and Mary Self Dollar. John served in the United States Marine Corp, while he was serving, he found and accepted Christ. John retired from the USPS. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers. John enjoyed spending time with his family, going to yard sales, scuba diving and cycling. Preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Stephen Craig Dollar. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Demoret Dollar; eight children: Mark (Jill) Dollar of Ft. Collins, Colo., Jim (Leanne) Dollar of DeWitt, Iowa, Becky (Will) Ryan of Sikeston, Mo., Michael (Kelsey) Dollar of Lamar, Ark., Carrie (Richard) Arkell of Lake Elmo, Minn., Lori (Josh) Ranes of Forest, Va., Heather (Ryan) Walker of Fayetteville, Ark., Chelsea Dollar of Rogers; sisters, Brenda (Phillip) Lackey of Tulsa, Okla., MaryAnn (Murl) Dawes of Colorado; brother, Ron Dollar of Kentucky; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of John's life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, with Pastor Steve Moore officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice.
