David A. Thomson
North Little Rock, AR, 1948 - 2022
David A. Thomson passed away peacefully leaving all his pain and suffering behind on May 25, 2022. With loving eyes, our Heavenly Father waited for him as the Pearly Gates to welcome him home. Holding him tight, he whispered, "Job Well Done."
David was born on May 18, 1948, in Green Bay, Wis., the son of the late Leslie "Bud" and Kathleen "Kitty" Thomson (Keyser).
Born May 18, 1948, David was the 1st of eight children growing up in De Pere, Wis. At 18, he was drafted and sent to Dong Tam, Vietnam. Showing his heroism with Silver Stars and Purple Hearts, he was honorably discharged.
While in basic training, before leaving for Vietnam, a young Cajun nurse caught nurse caught his eyes. He knew he had to have her, so unbeknownst to her, he sent a letter requesting her hand in marriage.
Mr. Scritchfield got on the next plane for the upcoming wedding. Scared to send her father home without a wedding, Linda reluctantly said, "I do." Over the years, their love grew greater and stronger. Living as Husband and Wife until "death do you part."
David's legacy will live on through his wife of 54 years; his daughters, Sheila Michelle Thomson, Barbie (Jay) Morgan, and son, Brian (Stephanie) Thomson; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is further survived by five siblings; his extended family; and friends.
David was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Michelle Thomson; his parents, Bud and Kitty Thomson; and two siblings, "Mikey" Thomson and "DD" Panure; and other family members who we know were welcome him at Heaven's gates.
