James Dean Pankey

JAMES PANKEY, age 86, died Thursday, May 26, 2022. He lived at Vitality Pleasant Hills in Little Rock for the past five years. James and his wife, Jean, moved from Batesville to Little Rock 14 years ago to be near their family. He was an educator for 25 years and a home builder during and after his teaching career. He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Janie McNeill and husband, Phil; two grandchildren, Bo McNeill and wife, Jamie, Jeanne Johansson and husband, Oskar. James was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Olivia and Maya McNeill, Jett and Axel Johansson; one sister, Carol Riley; and several nieces and nephews. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. There is no service planned at this time.
