Raz Thomas Munholland

Raz Thomas Munholland, 87, of Lonoke, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was born May 30, 1934 in Epps, La., to the late Aaron and Myrtle Carr Munholland. Raz proudly served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force. His service included tours of duty in Vietnam and Okinawa. Raz was very involved in the VFW and proud to serve along with his fellow comrades in various community activities. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4548 in Jacksonville, a past All-American Triple Crown Commander and VFW Department of Arkansas State Commander from 1996-1997. After his military career, Raz had a twenty plus year career with Remington/Dupont. He was an avid hunter, but also enjoyed fishing and running his dogs, and was a long-time member of Roper's Hunting Club. In addition to his parents, Raz was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Munholland. Survivors include his sons, Scott Munholland (Linda), Mark Munholland, and Greg Munholland (Sandy); bonus daughter, Rhonda Couch; granddaughters, Kayla and Hannah; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Jo Richardson (Dwayne), and Larena "Sis" Caston; as well as many extended family members, VFW comrades, hunting club buddies and friends. Pallbearers include Greg Munholland, John Perkins, Justin Farrar, Tony Farrar, John Lynch and Ashley Little. Honorary pallbearers include Richard Holly, D.W. Wheelington, Jim Rye, Doyle Kellygrew, Royce Johnson, All Past VFW State Commanders, VFW Comrades and Roper's Hunting Club buddies. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Canterberry Tripp, Bobbi Pfizur, Jay McCarty, Chuck Booze, Bert Derickson and Sandra Humble. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
