LaBerta "Bea" Walton Gray, born August 9, 1929, to Frank H. and Coree Elliot Walton, at Mountain Pine, Ark. (Garland County), passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, in Conway, Ark. Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Cy J. Gray; and son-in-law, C.B. Hoskins Jr. Survivors are her son, Timothy M. Gray and wife Janet of Conway; and daughter, Jan A. Hoskins of North Little Rock. She was "Granny Bea" to Michael Shane Gray and wife, Nicky, as well as, Adam Walton Gray and wife Rachel. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Sydney Baker (Kalem) of Greenbrier, and Sam, Aiden and Avery Gray and Sawyer and Hank Johnston of Conway and great-great granddaughter, Grace. Bea loved to travel and be with her family. Cy was in the Air Force, and traveled in all but 4 states, having also driven to Alaska, on the Alcan Highway in 1950, when Alaska was still a territory, and the highway still yet, unfinished. They lived for some time, in Japan and Okinawa, and traveling via ship, on their way back to the states, visited Japan, Korea and Hawaii. After 24 years, Cy retired and became a Golf Club Pro in 1980, they returned to Arkansas, living at Diamond Head, near Hot Springs. Cy passed away in 1997, and following an auto accident in 1999, Bea moved to Conway to be closer to her family. Her health began to fail in 2008, and per her wish, we would like to acknowledge the care givers and special friends Ashley Bailey and her daughter, Cora and especially Janie Edwards. The family would also like to thank Superior Health and Rehab and Hospice for their compassionate care. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
