Veda Mae Sweetin, 87, of Stuttgart, widow of Ray Sweetin, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at St. Vincent's in Little Rock. Mrs. Sweetin was born November 4, 1934, in Tichnor to Glen and Nettie Jones, and had been a citizen of Stuttgart since 1960. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist Church-Stuttgart where she was a member of the choir and active in WMU. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Herschel and Flenoy. Survivors are three sons, Marcus Ray (JoAnn) Sweetin of Casscoe, and Kevin Wayne (Shannon) Sweetin and Randall Glen (Sandra) Sweetin of Little Rock; a brother, Bobby Don Jones of Tichnor; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Grant Medford, are 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home. Her family requests memorials to First Baptist Church, 2115 S.
