LOUISE L "NANNY" EDMONDSON of North Little Rock, age 97, died November 4, 2022. She was born in Plainview, Ark., on June 21, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruby Bell Westlake and Curtis Reed Westlake, husband, Sherrill Athlee Edmondson, sisters, Pauline Miller, Ruby Inez Lockhart of Santa Rosa, Calif., Wilma Perry, Ruth Metcalf, Patricia Westlake, brothers, Curtis "Bud" Reed Westlake Jr., and James Bertam Westlake. She was a graduate of Perryville High School. She worked for Griffin Leggett Wyatt-Monahan Monument Company where she shared her compassion with people on, "the worst day of their lives". She was a devoted member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church for 42 years where she was known as the "tea and coffee lady", serving on the personnel, fellowship, benevolence, and kitchen committees. She was a member of Beth Chapter 617 Order of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron. She was an avid gardener, adventurer, athlete, and businessperson. Together with the love of her life, Sherrill, they created a lasted legacy of love, family, and success through education and tenacity. The family wishes to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice, Ricky Durnal and the many friends that made her transition peaceful and in her own home as she wished. She is survived by sisters, Doris Jean Dennis and Mary Rose Jessup of Mackinac Island, Mich.; daughters, Sherry Tiffee (Ronnie), Donna Matthews; son, Ronnie Edmondson (Christine); seven grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. There will be visitation on Wednesday, November 9 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., service from 12-12:30 p.m., at Graves Memorial Baptist Church, 4617 Oak Grove Rd, North Little Rock, Ark., 72118, reception from 12:30-2:30 p.m., followed by burial at Rest Hills Cemetery, 7724 Landers Rd. North Little Rock, AR 72117. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to The Grove Community Outreach Center of North Little Rock, care of Graves Memorial Baptist Church, 4617 Oak Grove Rd, North Little Rock, Ark., 72118.
