Loyd Earl McCord

Graveside service for Loyd Earl McCord will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Restlawn Memorial Park, Sulphur Springs, Texas. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. McCord passed away on October 5, 2022. Loyd was born on August 15, 1937, in Weaver, Texas, to Morris and Grace McCord. He married Molly Owen in 2016 in Prior, Okla. Loyd was the owner and operator of Loyd McCord Trucking. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cumby. He is survived by his wife, Molly; son, Chuck McCord and wife, Tina; daughter, Tommye Johnson and husband, Eddy; grandchildren, Cody McCord, Cord Alvarez, Kelby Alvarez, Courtney Dunston, and Trey Alvarez; sister, Sarah Miller; brother, Mickey McCord; numerous nieces and nephews. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy McCord, Bobby McCord, Mack McCord, and Benny McCord; son, Douglas McCord; daughter, Cynthia McCord.
