Services for Nikki Piepke, 64, of Ada are 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Piepke died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home. She was born December 23, 1957, in Camden, Ark., to Ronald and JoAnn McCown. She attended elementary school in Stephens, Ark., junior high and high school in Rogers, Ark. She married David Piepke on December 6, 1984; he preceded her in death. Mrs. Piepke was employed with Ada Early Childhood Center for 24 years. She was actively involved in Grief Share Ada, since the death of her husband David. Nikki was a God-loving, God-fearing woman full of life. She loved her family and friends deeply and was very proud of her son, Adam. Nikki loved children and touched the lives of hundreds and hundreds of them during her years of service with the Ada School System. She was always open to an adventure. Nikki was funny, very funny, quick witted and just a "little" sarcastic at times--just a little. She loved the beach, bulldogs, books and music. Nikki always put everyone's feelings and needs before her own. She always knew just the right words and advice to give at just the right time. We are all better for having known her. Everyone should have a "Nikki" in their life. Survivors include her son, Adam Piepke, Olathe, Kan.; parents, Ronald and JoAnn McCown, Rogers, Ark.; sister, Terri Phillips, Hot Springs, Ark.; brother, Scott McCown (Ronna Smith), Rogers, Ark.; Brothers-in-law, Kirk (Hollye) Piepke, Pauls Valley, Okla., and Chris (Wendy) Piepke, Waxahachie, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda (Roger) Casebolt, Winfield, Kan.; "Brother" cousin, Doug McClurkin, Rogers, Ark.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends, Rita Shepherd, LuAnn Terral, Lisa Day, and all the women of Grief Share Ada. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Piepke; grandparents, Aubrey and Bertie McCown, and Lena McClurkin, all of Stephens, Ark.; father and mother-in-law, HC and Virginia Piepke, Pauls Valley, Okla. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her doctors at OU Medical Center and the staff of Elara Hospice for their care and compassion during Nikki's illness.
