Karen Sue Jones James, age 74, of Morrilton, Ark., passed away Monday, November 14, 2022. She was born October 25, 1948, in Mount Gay, W.V., the daughter of Harold Wittibslager and Charlotte Meadows Wittibslager. She was a homemaker, a St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary volunteer, a member of the Adelaide Club, and of the Christian Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse James of Morrilton; daughter, Kim (Michael) Briggler of Plumerville; son, Jeff Jones of Morrilton; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Paul) Cavnor of North Little Rock; stepson, Brian James of Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Christian, Ethan, and Addi Briggler of Plumerville, Michael Jones of Sherwood, and Jacob, Lauren and Anna Cavnor of North Little Rock. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donetta Metz and her first husband, Larry E. Jones.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Danny Ward and Bro. John Chapman officiating. A private burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
