Harry Joseph Schoewe

Harry Joseph Schoewe, 91, passed away on November 9, 2022, in Bentonville, Ark.. He was born on May 13, 1931, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Harry A. and Angela (Sexton) Schoewe. Harry was in the Air Force during the Korean War, serving mostly at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Ariz. Harry was married to the love of his life, Patricia Louise (Hayford) Schoewe, until she passed on November 11, 2009. Harry was an avid cribbage player and would often win. He enjoyed fishing immensely; he took several trips to the Northern waters to fish with his son, Tom. For the past several years, he was a part of the Wisconsin Anglers and took trips to Upper Wisconsin to fish and socialize once a year. Harry and Pat enjoyed playing tennis with friends in St. Charles, Illinois, Edina, Minn., and LaQuinta, Calif. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Dale Schoewe, Mary Ann Hitchcock, and Angela Happ. He is survived by his son, Tom and his wife, Karen; sisters, Kathy Fritz and Joan Stuewe, both of Minnesota; two grandchildren, Dave Schoewe and his wife, Becky, and Kymberly Stephens and her husband, Matt, all of northwest Arkansas; and five great-grandchildren, Chris, Libby, Andrew, and twins Mya and Jack. A Memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. on December 5, 2022, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonville, with inurnment at Fort Snelling, Minn. In lieu of flowers, Harry asked that a donation be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Church of the Holy Name, 3637 11th Ave. South, Minneapolis, Minn. 55407.
