KARON SUE EGNER, 75, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away on November 15, 2022. Karon was born to the late Neal and Roberta Butler on April 30, 1947 in Heber Springs, Ark. She grew up in Benton Harbor, Mich., and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1965. Karon attended Ouachita Baptist University before graduating from Arkansas State University with a degree in political science, and she was a retired state government employee. Karon met her husband of 52 years, Hank Egner, at ASU. Karon was a very creative person who loved to garden and make beautiful décor for the home. She also had an amazing singing voice. Above all, Karon loved spending time with her family. Karon is survived by her husband Hank, daughter Stephanie Smith of Little Rock, son Brandon Egner of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., daughter Kim Egner of Austin, Texas, son-in-law Clayton Smith of Little Rock, and granddaughter Eliza Smith. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 in the Garden Room at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock.
