Shirley Loretta Wallace (Garman) passed away on September 28, 2022, in Gravette, Ark. She was 75 years old. She was born on April 20, 1947, to Clarence Leroy and Nettie Loretta (Isley) Garman in Gravette and was the only daughter among her five brothers. She built her life in Gravette with her husband, Max George Wallace. They were married in 1969 and were happily married for 53 years. She worked at the Bank of Gravette for nearly 40 years, until her retirement, and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Gravette. Shirley was devoted to her family and cherished her time with them. She loved hosting family dinners at the holidays, visiting with her brothers and their families, and showering her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with affection. She was a devout Christian and was greatly loved by her church. She loved tending to her flowerbeds and always kept a welcoming home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Wayne Garman, Cecil Garman, and Carl Garman. She is survived by her husband; her children, Terry Wallace, Tracy, and Holly Wallace; her brothers, Clarence Garman and Mike Garman; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 10-11 1a.m., at First Baptist Church of Gravette, with funeral services immediately following. A private burial with family and friends will occur at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
