Wanetta J Puryear

Wanetta J. Puryear, 93, of Springdale; passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Huntsville. She was born Tuesday, July 2, 1929, at Clifty, to Sam and Lutie Perniece Graham Jones. Wanetta married Kenneth Carl Puryear on Thursday, October 13, 1949; and they were parents to two children. She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, and dearly loved her family. Wanetta was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lutie Jones, and eight siblings. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Kenneth Puryear of the home; one son, Rick Puryear; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Paul Bagwell; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kelcey and Jonathan Isaacs, and one great-granddaughter, Laynie Isaacs; all of Springdale. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church at Burkshed with Eldon Bagwell officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Bagwell, Jonathan Isaacs, Kevin Goss, Doug Archer, Mike Puryear, and Chad Puryear. Interment will immediately follow services at Burkshed Cemetery, Hindsville. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
