WILLIAM "BILL" WEHNER, 69, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 27th. He was born August 9th, 1953, to the late Martha and Bill Wehner in Montgomery, Ala. Bill attended schools in Dunwoody, Ga., Houston, Texas, Louisville, Ky., and graduated from Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, Ill., where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. Bill was also a pitcher on the Kentucky State Babe Ruth championship team which played championship games in Appleton, Wis. Bill also attended Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., where he also was a member of the baseball team. Bill loved baseball. He was known among his friends as Baseball Bill. Bill was a long-time employee of Potluck Food Rescue. He was a fierce advocate for hunger relief in the Little Rock community. A baptized Presbyterian, Bill was loved by many and had a heart of gold. Bill is survived by his sister, Laura, of Little Rock. Celebration of Bill's life will be announced later.
