Kenneth Bogan, 86, a lifelong resident of Fayetteville, Ark., went to be with his Lord Monday, October 3, surrounded by his family. He was born January 19, 1936 the son of Lee R. Bogan and Jewell (Ballou) Bogan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dana Means, and three brothers, Donald, Norris and Larry Bogan. He is survived by Patsy (Lewis) Bogan, his wife of 62 years, one son, Kevin Bogan of Overland Park, Kan., and one daughter, Mitzi (Bogan) Williams and her husband Harry of Fayetteville, and one grandchild, Brady Mason Williams, also of Fayetteville, one sister-in-law, Fay Bogan and 11 nieces and nephews, Teresa (Means) Pace, Lisa (Means) Pace, Leilani (Bogan) Hedrick, Robert Bogan, Dawn (Bogan) Houston, Jennifer Bogan, Judy (Lewis) Motes, Shirley Lewis, Barbara Lewis, Janie Lewis and Tommy Lewis. Kenneth graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1955 where he ran track and played baseball. He also attended the University of Arkansas. Kenneth was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and also taught Sunday School for many years. He was also a Boy Scout Troop leader, a Royal Ranger leader at the church and was a mentor for Troop 555 Boy Scouts, Farmington, Ark. Kenneth was retired after being employed for many years by the Danaher Corporation, Easco Hand Tools and Fulbright Wood Products all in the Northwest Arkansas area. He spent the final years of his life at Avenir Memory Care Facility. He was a member of the National Guard serving at Fort Chaffee in Ft. Smith Ark. He enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, leather tooling and carpentry. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 7 at First Assembly of God Church, 550 E. 15th Street, Fayetteville, Ark.
