Jackie Wayne Yancey, 75, of Cabot passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born August 15, 1947 in Lancaster, Calif., to the late Carroll and Katie Spradlin Yancey. Mr. Yancey served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam as a Corpsman. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked as a Trackman for the railroad. Mr. Yancey was a devout Jehovah's Witness and loved going door to door, meeting new people and teaching about Jehovah. He delighted in taking his family out to eat, especially to new places and he loved watching westerns and sports on television. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yancey was preceded in death by his sister. Mr. Yancey is survived by his wife of 55 years, Glenda Hastings Yancey; his daughters, Kim Dickerson (James) of Gurdon and Jaclyn Knopp (Stan) of Conway; his grandsons, Matt Dickerson, David Dickerson (April), Gabe Spriggs (Kaylyn) and Braden Spriggs (Lehde); six great-grandchildren and his brothers, Jerry Yancey (Debbie) and Carroll Loyd Yancey (Pam), both of Texas. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock with Elder George Fox officiating.
