Mr. Eugene Lilburn Neal, Jr., a long time resident of Rogers, Ark. passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 9, 2022 at the age of 83. Mr. Neal was born on Feb. 10, 1939 in the Tomberlin community of Lonoke County to the late Eugene Lilburn Neal, Sr. and Virginia Rochelle Neal. He graduated from England High School in 1956 where he was affectionally known as "Little Gene". He then enlisted in the Army Reserves until 1964. He is survived by the love of his life of 59 years, Phyllis Gwen Mabry Neal; two sons, Eugene L. "Rockey" Neal III (Barbara) and Stewart Douglas Neal (Dee); four grandchildren, Brittany Neal Baratta (Brandon), Philip Eugene Neal (Lindsey), Brody Clark Neal and Cameron Douglas Neal; two great grandchildren, Adriana Leigh Baratta and Miller Jean Neal and two sisters, Marion Dean (Jimmy) and Jeanette Eledge (Paul). He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Rogers for over 50 years. A devoted and loving husband, father, doting grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He loved anything western, including guns, horses, camping, firepit cookouts, homemade ice cream, visits with grandkids and get togethers with friends and family. A celebration of life will be Saturday, October 22nd 2022 at First Baptist Church of Rogers with Pastor Wes George officiating. The Family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. and services will directly follow.
