David Keith Piazza

DAVID KEITH PIAZZA,71, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 4, 2022. David was born on Nov. 5, 1950 in Little Rock,Ark., to Sam and Francis Piazza. David attended the Cathedral School, Pulaski Heights Middle School and graduated from Hall High School in 1968. Following graduation, David attended Henderson University for a period of time. He left Henderson to return to Little Rock to join his father in the shoe repair business. Following in his father's footsteps David became a master shoe repairman and worked at this craft until he sold the business in 2001 and generously took up the care of his father who was suffering from Alzheimer's. David was a kind and caring caregiver. After his father's passing, David went to work for Kroger where he made good friends and worked until his retirement.David was an avid movie goer and loved all kinds of movies. David loved the razorbacks and watched all of their games. He was a season ticket holder of UALR basketball and attended every game he could with his brother, Chris.David was a kind and gentle soul who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved animals and was never without a rescue dog in his home that he treated as family. He was a monthly donor to the Humane Society believing that dogs truly were "man's best friend". Left to mourn his passing are his brother, Chris Piazza (Melody); his sister, Heather Piazza who was best friend, devout caretaker and all around the best big sister anyone could ever have; nephews, Jason Piazza (Anna) of Fayetteville and Alex Piazza of Little Rock and a whole host of Piazza aunts, uncles and cousins. David was predeceased in death by his parents, Sam and Francis Piazza; uncles, Ben Piazza of Los Angelos, Calif., Gene Piazza of Connecticut, Charles Piazza of North Little Rock, Richard Piazza of Savannah, Ga., and Aunt Rose Martin of Little Rock. There will be a private burial service for family and close friends only at a date and time in the future. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
