Alice F. Henry passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 16th, 2022, at the age of 95. Alice was born in Sigel, Illinois, the youngest of six children, to William and Christine Fruchtl. After high school, she moved to Chicago where, at a Catholic Young Peoples club, she met Patrick F Henry, Jr. They married in 1948 and were together for 47 years, until his passing in 1995. During their life's journey, his career with Pabst Brewing Co. transferred them several times. They moved from Chicago, to North Platte, Neb., to Wichita, Kan., to Milwaukee, Wis., and finally to Little Rock, Ark. in 1966. During her working days in Little Rock, Alice was the Assistant Administrator at two nursing homes, The Fountainbleau Nursing Home and Riley’s Oakhill Manor South. Alice was an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church and a longtime volunteer with St Vincent’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, an occasional trip to the casino, greatly enjoyed watching sports on television, always enjoyed a good card game, like Shanghai Rummy and poker, can’t forget to mention she really loved playing pinochle with her siblings and family during trips back home! She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Mary Jansen, Mildred Fruchtl, Helen Deters, Claire Laub, and brother, Joseph Fruchtl. She is survived by two sons, Jim Henry of St. George, Utah, and Mike Henry (Cindy) of Little Rock; grandson, Brian Henry (Amanda); and great-grandson, Parker Henry. Additionally, she is survived by one cousin; 20 nieces and nephews. We extend our gratitude to the nurses and staff at Briarwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church on Friday, October 21, 2022, with a reception in the Parish Hall following graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. To sign the online guestbook, click “Add A Memory” at: www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com
