Charles "Milton" Head

Charles Milton Head, 88, of Gravette (generally known as Milton) passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022. He was born January 16, 1934, in Centerton to the late Maurice Milton Head and Delma Marie Johnson Head. Milton was also preceded by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Janice Head; and by his brother, William Head. Milton’s education included graduation from Bentonville High School and a short period of time at the University of Arkansas. Voluntarily joining the military, he proudly served for 23 years in the United States Navy. After his retirement, he became a small engine specialist in the Rogers area. He was a loyal, dedicated family man with unique hobbies and interests. His travels with Jan always included many railroad enthusiast stops. Together they experienced all 50 states. Milton held high positions in his chosen branch of the Fleet Reserve Association for many years. His most enjoyable moments were spent with loved ones and good friends. Survived by his daughter, Jackie (Ralph) Lambert of Gravette; son, Maurice Head of Alton, Illinois; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and dear friends. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Graveside funeral service, with Full Military Honors will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, in Bentonville Cemetery, with interment to follow.
