James “Jim” Melvin Belknap, age 64, of Maumelle, Ark., went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2022. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., on July 7, 1958, to Melvin Belknap and Jean Forbes-Belknap. Jim enjoyed being outdoors. He was an Eagle Scout and loved to hunt. He was always fixing things, which is why he was given the nickname “MacGyver.” After fixing up and finishing his man cave, you could always find Jim in his recliner eating peanut M&M’s. Jim’s favorite pastimes included skiing, boating, and relaxing with friends and family at Lake Ouachita. His grandkids were his world, and he was the best “Papa” to them. Jim was a protector of anyone he loved and would do anything for them. He loved the Lord and he was an acolyte at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Belknap. Jim leaves behind his wife, Tanya Belknap; children, Jeremy Belknap (Laura), Brittany Wilson (Dustin), Brandon Keathley (Jessica), and Casey Moseley; grandchildren, Wyatt Wilson, Knox Wilson, and Aimsley Keathley; his mother, Jean Belknap; brother, Michael Belknap (Shelia); niece and nephew, Dalton and Madison; and a host of other friends and family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Maumelle Country Club from 2-4 p.m. Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076. 501-982-3400.
