Nowlin Kenneth Roaten, Jr.

Nowlin Kenneth Roaten, Jr. 74 of Bauxite, passed away on October 16, 2022. He was born on June 6, 1948, in Louisville, Ky., to the late Nowlin Kenneth and Martha Ann Cockrell Roaten. Nowlin graduated from Trezevant High School in Memphis, Tenn., attending Union University and UALR, joining the Army and retiring after 37 years of service. Nowlin was the owner of A1 Windows and Floors and an employee of Birch Tree Communities. Nowlin was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynn Terrell. He is survived by his wife, Georgia L. Roaten, sons, Nowlin Kenneth Roaten III of Alexander, and Steve McKinney of Moss Point, Miss.; stepdaughters, Lora Snodgrass of Benton and Sandra Cook of Benton; sister, Charlotte Watkins of Ohio, and Susan Atawa of Oregon; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Thursday, with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating at Philippi Cemetery at Point Cedar, Ar., off Hwy 84. There will be an open visitation at Ashbys.
