Jodie Lynne Johnson, age 59, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born November 30, 1962, in Bangor, Maine. Jodie was a long-standing resident of Rogers, Ark., and a 1980 graduate of Rogers High School. Her career spanned nearly 30 years as the office manager at Norwood & Norwood law firm before retiring in July of 2021. Jodie was a devoted member of Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers. Her faith in Christ was the greatest priority in her life. Jodie lived for adventure and fun. She was rarely still. Her passion was aviation and on June 22, 2012, she conquered her dream and obtained her private pilots certificate. When she wasn't flying the skies, she was traveling the roads. She and her beloved partner, Bruce, explored the country in their camper van. They visited many National Parks across the nation and loved spending their weekends camping, riding bikes, fishing, and boating. Jodie was blessed with many close friends that were more like family. Her friends were so important to her, and she to them. Their times together were full of laughter and fun. Her friendships were the rare kind that, if someone is lucky enough to find just one of these close and devoted relationships, they are truly blessed. Jodie had many of those special rare friendships because she was such a great friend. Jodie was the kind of friend you could always depend on to help you do anything, lend an encouraging word, be genuinely happy for your wins, and love you for exactly who you are. While Jodie's life was full of amusing adventures and many dear friends, her greatest delight was her three grandsons. "JoJo," as they affectionately called her, was a loving grandmother and wanted to spend as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She took them along with her on her many camping adventures and taught them to love the great outdoors. JoJo never missed a school play, baseball game, or important event in her grandson's life. No matter how big or small, she was always determined to be there. Jodie is survived by her son, Scott Johnson, and his wife Kara of Bentonville; her beloved grandsons, Campbell, Bennett, and Wells Johnson; her brother, David Rose; her nieces, Sarah and Lily Rose; her partner Bruce Bryant; and a host of friends. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the chapel of Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers. To place an online tribute, please visit www.bernafuneralhomes.com
