Walter Redmond, 81, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away in August 2022.
Celebration Of Life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park with family and friends sharing memories of Walt's wonderful life. Visitation with refreshments will immediately follow.
Walt was born in San Francisco, Calif., to Margaret & William Redmond on January 28, 1941. He married Peggy Batson on September 17, 1965, in San Bruno, Calif. They made Little Rock, Ark., home, where they raised their four children. Walt worked as a chiller mechanic in UA Local 155, out of Little Rock, Ark., for over 45 years. He proudly served in the US Air Force for four years.
Walt is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and William, and his wife of 34 years, Peggy Redmond. He is survived by children, Michael & (Keri) Redmond (Bixby, Okla.), Jeffrey & (Julie) Redmond (Tulsa, Okla.), Stephanie & (Mark) Conatser (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.,) Suzanne & (Sam) Ferguson (Little Rock, Ark.); sisters, Karen Herman & Karol Heineman; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Hershey.
Walt enjoyed camping, fishing, and tinkering around with various projects in his spare time. A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1 p.m., at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HWY 5 N, Alexander, Ark., 72002. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to:
