SUE H. SIMMONS, 92, of North Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord, October 22, 2022. She was born December 21, 1929, in Naylor, Ark., to Paul and Thelma Harlan. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Henry Simmons; her son, Britt Paul Simmons; brother, Wendell Harlan and her parents.
Mrs. Simmons, a graduate of Vilonia High School, earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Arkansas State Teacher's College, a Master's Degree from the State College of Arkansas, and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Arkansas. She educated children in the Cabot and North Little Rock School Districts for 34 years. Mrs. Simmons was a teacher leader, serving as the president of the North Little Rock Classroom Teachers Association and as a delegate to the National Education Association's Representative Assembly. Mrs. Simmons was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cheryl Carson (Jeffrey); granddaughters, Catherine Carson and Stephanie Carson Wise (Justin); sister, Paulette Rodgers of Vilonia and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway at 2 p.m., visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
