Gene Linker

Gene Linker, of Pine Bluff, was born December 10, 1928, at Walnut Grove, MO, a son of the late Opal (Turnage) Bradford and Robert H. Linker. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was part of the Occupational forces in Japan following the war. Gene retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a pipe fitter and welder foreman with 36 years of service. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was also a member of Pine Bluff Masonic Lodge #69, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Sahara Temple, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Gene passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Hot Springs at the age of 93, and was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Guy Bradshaw and Jack Bradshaw; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Linker. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Nadene Linker; two sons, Mike Linker of Glen Rose, TX, and Darrell Linker and wife, Darla, of Tolar, TX; and two grandsons, Cole Linker and Brayden Linker. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Don Taylor officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
