Sam Harris Jr., 86 of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 24, 2022. He was born May 21, 1936, Pine Bluff Ark.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Harris Sr. and Thelma Louise M Jones; and brothers, Basil Harris, Roy Harris, Bobby Harris, and Ross Harris.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. Harris (of 59 years); brother, James Harris (wife Cynthia), sister, Betty Foley (husband Bob); sons, Sam Harris III (wife Catherine), Walton Allen Harris (wife Marla); granddaughters, Jade Harris, Amber Harris, Sydney Harris, and Natalie Harris.
He served in the National Guard and in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Ark. Highway Department.
