James L. Hartwig Jr.

James L. Hartwig Jr., 75, of Jacksonville, passed away October 25, 2022. He was born Wednesday, July 2, 1947, in Michigan to the late James Lawrence Hartwig Sr. and Hazel May (Tracy) Ketchum. Jim served his country in Vietnam and spent four years in the Army followed by twenty-one years in the Air Force before retiring in 1990. He also loved to fish and was an avid computer gamer. Those left to cherish Jim's memory include his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Darlene Roberts Hartwig; children, Jimmy Hartwig, Jamie (Paul) Julbes, Lori (Les) Chalfant, and Jessica (Rob) Barrett; sister, Kathy Puma; sister-in-law, Charlene Zerilli, as well as thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
