JOE RONALD WADLEY, a longtime resident of Sherwood and North Little Rock, passed away on Oct. 19, 2022. Joe was born on Aug. 18, 1952, to Joe and Juanita Wadley. Joe graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1971 and following his high school years served in the Air Force National Guard for eight years. Joe served as Vice President for the U-Haul Company of Arkansas for ten years and later started his own company, Express Package and Mail. Joe also worked as an M&M distributor, and he had a number of investment and rental properties in Central Arkansas that he ran for many years. Joe married his beloved wife, Carol Phillips, on Sept. 26, 1975, and they began to build a beautiful life together. Anyone who knew Joe knew he loved gospel music. He traveled, sang, and produced music with The Majestic Sound, a southern gospel singing group. He was an avid M&M collector and Amazon shopper. If a package wasn't arriving that day, was it really Joe's house? He and his wife were attendants of Friendly Chapel Church in North Little Rock for many years. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Juanita Wadley. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Courtney Davis (KJ Kite) of North Little Rock; his son, Timothy (Victoria) of Cabot; and his granddaughter, Mackie Davis, whom he loved dearly. His memorial service will take place at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in Sherwood, Ark., on Nov. 5, 2022, at 2 p.m. www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
