Jeanne Louise Higdon Breshears

Jeanne Louise Higdon Breshears, 74, of Star City, passed away Friday at her home. She was born February 27, 1948 in Denver, Co. to the late William and Iris Willis Higdon. She was a retired para professional for 26 years with the Star City School District and she was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church near Rison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Donald Paul Breshears; two sons: Brett Dale Breshears, Kevin Thomas Breshears; and a granddaughter, Lily Mae Breshears. Survivors include two sons: Andrew Scott Breshears (Amy) of Pine Bluff, Steven Eric Breshears (Erika) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters: Jennifer Dawn Breshears Plumlee of Conway, Carrie Ann Breshears Teague (Matt) of Monticello; one brother, Robert Higdon of Sparks, Nev. Other survivors include nine grandchildren: Jackie Breshears, Zane Breshears, Ryan Breshears, Brittany Breshears, Heath Breshears, Hope Cater, Logan Plumlee, Cameron Teague, Rachel Teague, and expecting Baby Girl on the way; three great-grandchildren: Ryan Gabriel Breshears, Joseph Isaiah Breshears, and Shawn Ezekiel Breshears. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church near Rison, with Bro. Brian Roberts and Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be Logan Plumlee, Zane Breshears, Cameron Teague, Matt Teague, Heath Breshears and Steven Breshears.
