Nancy Murphy-Harris, who loved to be called "Nana," was a loving mother, nana, great-nana, and friend. Nancy passed away on September 6, 2022 at the age of 82 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She was born Nancy Anne Murphy to Cephus and Mildred Spradley-Murphy on September 30, 1939, in McGregor Texas. The family moved to Arkansas when she was a young girl. Nancy was a graduate of Bentonville High School in 1958, and an active member of the band. She was a deeply religious person, and active member of her church, who often played piano for services. Nancy was an avid gardener. She enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her flowers and feeding her birds. She was also a wonderful baker whose desert recipes will live on through her family. She was loved by all that knew her and always put others before herself. She is survived by her loving children, Pamela (Richard) Boger and Gary (Dena) Harris; grandchildren, Whitney (Joshua) Ruff, Andrew Harris, and Nicolas Harris; great-grandchild, Lincoln Ruff; She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Laura Juanell Murphy and Doris Murphy. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and her brothers, Dr. Thomas Murphy and John Murphy. She is also preceded by her loyal pet companion of over 14 years, Sophie. Sophie's ashes will be laid to rest with her loving owner. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday September 12, 2022, at Chapel on the Creeks, 5202 Village Pkwy., Rogers, Ark. Interment to follow at the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday September 11, 2022, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street Rogers, Ark. The family asks that all flowers be sent to the funeral home.
