Katie Darlene Moody

Katie Darlene Moody, age 75, of Stuttgart, gained eternal life on September 8, 2022. She was born on March 4, 1947, in Stuttgart, Ark., to Frank and Frances Snider. Katie graduated Humnoke High School in 1965 and married her childhood sweetheart Charles "Gene" Moody in 1966. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Humnoke. She was a long-term employee of Riceland Foods in Stuttgart, retiring in 2012. Anyone who knew Katie, knew she was an avid cat/kitten lover. She enjoyed bird watching and amateur bird photography. She also loved growing flowers and gardening. She even continued gardening during her two and a half year battle with cancer. Katie's exemplary attitude and positivity during her illness were amazing to her family and friends. Her courage and strength were remarkable. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Snider, niece, Gwynda "Gwyn" Snider, and son-in-law, Craig A. Coleman. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles "Gene" Moody of Stuttgart; daughter, RaeAnn (Kent) Lockwood of Stuttgart; son, Chad Moody of Stuttgart; brother, Gerald (Phyllis) Snider of Ulm; granddaughter, Ashton (Zack) Smith of Stuttgart; and one great-grandson, Cason Coleman Smith of Stuttgart. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at CARTI and Baptist Health. Also, much gratitude to the "Chemosabi Sisters" with Pass On Joy who sent gifts each month to help bring a little joy to her life during her illness.
