Eloise Bea Shane, age 98, of Springdale, Ark., died on September 9, 2022, at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on December 21, 1923, to Floyd Carter and Minnie Keene Carter. Eloise lived most of her life in Northwest Arkansas. She worked at Tyson Foods for many years. Eloise was a member of the Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge, where she enjoyed dancing. She was also very good at sewing, where she started out by making clothing, large quilts, and lap quilts. Eloise was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church in Springdale. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Carl West, Roy Woods, and Gene Shane: and six siblings, Coy, Jim, Bob, Don, Ravenel, and Mary Olive. She is survived by stepson, Benny West; daughter, Loise Rouse; son, Sammy West; two grandsons, David McGuire and wife Tammy, and Brad Rouse and wife Rhonda; step granddaughter, Leann Rouse; six great-grandchildren, Robby and wife Kelsie, Brandon McGuire, Lane and Evan Rouse, Christian and wife Samantha Showalter, and Audra Anderson; and two great-great-grandsons, Braxton and Corbin McGuire. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2022, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Pastor Brandon Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson, Ark. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
