Eldridge Douglass Dorland

Eldridge Douglass Dorland was born in Fayetteville, Ark., on May 21, 1941, to Martha and Ken Dorland. He passed away September 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, C.K. Dorland, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Shirleen; one sister, Margaret Dorland; three children, Julie (Mike) McWhirter, Mary (Rick) Crawford and Bill (Sarah) Dorland; six grandchildren, Michael (Amber) McWhirter, Brian (Amanda) McWhirter, Scott (Emily) McWhirter, Lindsey (Isaac) Erwin, Justin (Deanna) Crawford, Kendall Dorland; and 15 great-grandchildren. Doug attended the University of Arkansas, earning degrees in mathematics. He spent his professional career in a variety of information technology companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and playing bridge.
