Catherine Ann Siebenmorgen Pinter

Morrilton, AR, 1925 - 2022

Catherine Ann Siebenmorgen Pinter, 96, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022. She was born in Morrison Bluff, Ark., on October 24, 1925, to the late Herman and Apollonia Wewers Siebenmorgen. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Conway, Arkansas in 1943. She married Ben Pinter in 1949 and moved to the Pinter family farm in Morrilton. She spent her adult life devoted to her faith, her family, and the family farm. In 1973, the Pinter family was named Farm Family of the Year for Conway County. She and Ben were selected as 1987 honorary parents at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 73 years, serving as a member of the choir, the Altar Society, and the funeral meal committee. The Pinters provided support for the Sacred Heart RCIA program and parish seminarians. Catherine and Ben also served as a field advocate for the Marriage Tribunal of the Little Rock Diocese. She was a faithful oblate of St. Benedict for over 60 years. Mrs. Pinter's community service included the St. Vincent DePaul Society, board member and volunteer for the Conway County Care Center, and participant in Church Women United. She was an avid gardener and an officer in the Petit Jean Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; one infant son, Victor Louis; five siblings, Sr. Brendan, OSB, Monica, Greg, Teresa, and Mary Ann. Ben and Catherine raised fifteen children, all surviving: Janie (the late Ed) Ussery of Morrilton, Paul of Morrilton, Steve (Stacy) of Little Rock, Gerry (Carol) of Morrilton, Mary (Jim) Hard of Athens, Alabama, Teresa (Joe) Mallett of Conway, Mike (Robbie) of Nashville, Tennessee, Nita (Ed) Moix of Rogers, Ann (Terry) Basco of Little Rock, Tim (Tina) of Little Rock, Ben (Amber) of Fayetteville, Frank (Bernadette) of Fayetteville, Ed (Kim) of North Little Rock, Christina (John) Flake of Conway, and Patrick (Patti) of Ft. Smith.
She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her siblings, Sr. Herman Marie, SSND, Sr. Dolores Marie, SSND, Lawrence, Rose Nelson, Bertha Gottsponer, and Dolores Land; and sister-in-law Helen Nabholz.
The Pinter family extends a special thank you to Rebecca Dean for her years of loving care and support for our mom and grandmother. We also thank the other personal caregivers and Hospice Home Care.
Services for Catherine Pinter: Rosary at 6 p.m., followed by family visitation from 6:30-8 p.m., on Sunday, September 18, at the Harris Chapel; Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., on Monday, September 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris, Father Joe Friend, and Deacon Steve Mallett officiating; Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton.
