John Duane "Buddy" Barrett of Sierra Vista, Ariz., died September 8, 2022, at the age of 77. Born April 11, 1945, in Shreveport, La., he grew up in Arkansas, attended North Little Rock High School, and retired from the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Houston Barrett and Comfort Ruth Yount; siblings, Dianne Morrison, Steve Barrett, and Michael Barrett; and daughter Lia Jo Barrett.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Ann Murrison; children, Tammy Ketcher, Eric Barrett, Ruben Barrett; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other family.
