Kenneth Colson

Kenneth Colson, 85, of Altheimer, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022. He was born July 5, 1937, in Oak Ridge Louisiana, son of the late Emmett and Lucy Volf Colson. Kenneth was reared and received his education at Oak Ridge High School. After graduating, he worked at International Paper for 44 years as a paper maker. Kenneth married the love of his life, Nancy Everett Colson September 11, 1959, in Wabbaseka. He was also a member of First Baptist of Altheimer. He enjoyed deer hunting, especially with his grandsons. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Emmett Eugene Colson. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Colson; children, Ken (Denise) Colson, Patti (Eddie) Vanlandingham; grandchildren, Blane (Racheal) McPherson, Hunter (Morgan) Colson, Landen Colson; great-grandchildren, Beckham Colson, Hudson Colson, and Ella Claire McPherson. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022, 10 a.m. at Ralph Robinson and Sons. Interment will be at Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer.
