George Morris Palmer, age 68, of Bentonville, Ark., died on September 25, 2022, in Bentonville, Ark. He was born August 17, 1954, in Kennett, Mo., to James Edward Palmer and Betty Jean Compton Palmer. George graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business. He married Jerris Highfill on May 22, 1982, in Paragould, Ark. George worked many years in agriculture, spending time working at co-ops, universities, research farms, and most recently for Mid-West Fertilizer in Maysville, Ark. He was a member of Mount Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Ark. George enjoyed his time playing with his grandkids, watching the Razorbacks and Westerns, and reading books. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Palmer; and brother, Barry Palmer. George is survived by his wife, Jerris Palmer; daughter, Brooke Bailey and husband Reece of Fayetteville; son, Darby Palmer and wife Katie of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Grace Bailey, Baker Bailey, Hayden Palmer, and Ford Palmer; and sister, Laura Faulkner and husband Phillip of Paragould, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A private family burial will take place at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Comfort Church of Christ, Sonshine School, 3249 W Mt.
