Jacqulyn "Jackie" Bivins, 88, of Rogers passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. Jackie was born December 27, 1933, in Olney, Texas, to the late Floyd Herbert Chitwood and Geneva Mae Looney Chitwood. She was also preceded by her husband, Tony Bivins; and her son, Bobby Bivins. Mrs. Bivins adored her family and loved playing, sharing, and visiting with them as she watched them all grow. Her children have many fond memories growing up on both the farm in Lowell and on West Magnolia Street in Rogers after moving to northwest Arkansas in the early 1960s from the Texas Panhandle. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jackie held many nursing positions in NWA during her work career, primarily as Dr. Miles' primary nurse. She loved helping people, so she cherished going to work each day. Jackie will be remembered for her always sweet, never-assuming disposition. In later years, she volunteered many hours at Samaritan House, to help others. She was a rabid Arkansas Razorback basketball and football fan! Along with several of her lady friends, they stayed on top of how the Hogs were doing, and on a couple occasions made the local press with their over-the-top outfits and their very outgoing spirit which one year help achieve a National Championship for the Hogs. Survivors include her daughters, Connie (G.A.) Sayre and Tena (Robert) Chasteen, both of Rogers; a stepdaughter, Diane Daniels of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anita "NeNe" (Eddie) Clemmons of Spearman, Texas; numerous extended family members and dear friends. The family sincerely appreciates everyone's prayers and support. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Interment will follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Samaritan Community Center, P.O. Box 939, Rogers Ark. 72757 or www.SamCC.org Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com
