William Layton Stanley died Wednesday Sept 28, 2022 at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark. He is preceded in death by both parents and three siblings. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Sturdy) of Marked Tree, but recently moved to Jonesboro, his two children Ron (Cindy), Pendelton, Ind., and Amanda (Chris) Nichols, Jonesboro, Ark., five grandchildren Molly Peters-Stanley, Carmel, Ind., Andy Stanley, Indianapolis, Ind., Toby Stanley, Henderson, N.V., Maranda Nichols, Jonesboro, Ark., Becky (Russell) (Nichols) Cline and four great-grandchildren. one brother, James Stanley, Memphis, Tenn.,, and sister Novella (Stanley) Short, Blacksburg, Va., and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great- and grand- nieces and nephews.
