Clifton Laval O'Neal

Pine Bluff, AR, 1933 - 2023

Reverend Clifton L. O'Neal, transitioned to his heavenly home on May 17, 2023, at the age of 89. Born June 16, 1933, in Pine Bluff as the 14th of 15 children of George and Zora O'Neal, he devoted his life to
God, Family, and Community.
Known for his deep faith in God, he served at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church from the age of 12 until his death. Over the years he served as Deacon Board, Superintendent, member of the choir and was
currently serving as the Associate Pastor.
Reverend Clifton O'Neal's influence extended beyond the church walls, as he actively participated in organizations that aimed to uplift his community including; 100 Men Who Care, Alumni Chapter of
UAPB, Master Gardeners, NAACP, Library Board, Hospice Commission, Voter Registration Board, Cosmopolitan Choir, and the St. Marion Baptist District Association. Reverend O'Neal was the owner of O'Neal Printing Company, an enlisted soldier in the Army, a lifeguard, an educator at Southeast, a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad and a graduate of Merrill High School,
AM&N College (UAPB), and the AGAPA School of Evangelism.
He was married to Ethel Mae Lacy for 59 years and was a loving father to Alicia O'Neal Cunningham (Jimmy), Krystal O'Neal, Carmaleta O'Neal, and the proud grandfather of Kai O'Neal.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home. Celebration Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Steven King). Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home in Pine Bluff, Ark.
