Dr. William Dillard Denson

Dr. William Dillard Denson of Hot Springs Village passed away at his home on Nov. 18 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Denson and Sue Parrish Denson.
In June of 1968, he enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a math major. Because of his field of study, he was offered a slot in the work-study program at NASA. This allowed him to study at Georgia Tech and intern at the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Tex.
He applied to medical school at the end of his junior year and was accepted. He graduated from UAMS in 1976. Dr. Denson was board-certified both in Neurology and Psychiatry. In 1989 he was elected as a Fellow with the American Academy of Neurology.
After researching his genealogy for many years, he is the author of a book detailing the life and times of his great-great-grandfather, Reverend N.C. Denson, a Confederate soldier, dedicated minister and Arkansas leader.
He is survived by his husband and partner of 45 years, Larry Curbow, and his sister, Rebecca Gannaway (Paul).
Private burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
