Tim Klinedinst, both associated with the University of Arkansas' Air Force ROTC program, lower a U.S. flag in front of Old Main in order to fly another flag meant to be given to a retiring officer stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base near Bossier City, La. who has ties to Arkansas and the university. The flag was flown momentarily, saluted, lowered and then replaced with the permanent flag during the ceremony. Officers and cadets from the university's ROTC program perform similar ceremonies from time to time as requested.
