For several years, Brenda Hatton-Ficklin has served as a volunteer, working the “front of the house,” at Designers Choice Fashion Preview, the sartorial fundraiser for Timmons Arts Foundation. “Others have been comfortable with me being at the front,” she says. “I almost feel like I need the [two-way] radio in my hand, as you get used to it. It’s a lot of fun.”
