LR Superintendent discusses district status and food collection event

Little Rock School Superintendent Mike Poore talks about the status of the district while meeting with reporters in his office Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2020. Poore held a press conference to roll out his annual Poore Man on the Roof event, which which aims to collect food to donate to Little Rock Watershed to distribute to needy families. Poore will sit on the roof of the district headquarters on February 7th to work, if enough food is collected. The district’s Bright Futures initiative and it’s Volunteers in Public Schools program will also benefit from the event.
