A gap in trees behind houses in Hot Springs’ Indiandale neighborhood once was filled by a large loblolly pine that grew for at least 90 years and possibly longer and spent about 16 years slowly dying before it collapsed. (Special to the Democrat-Gazette/Jerry Butler)
